At our center, located in the heart of Beverly Hills, we provide our patients with the following treatments and services:
Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury
During an ACL injury, the anterior cruciate ligament overstretches, sometimes to the point of tearing. At our facilities, we’re well-equipped to diagnose and treat a variety of ACL injuries across all ages and genders. The treatment of the injury differs depending on a patient’s age, with ACL tears in children and teens requiring unique and specialized treatment compared to older individuals. Whether a patient is suffering from a chronic anterior cruciate ligament injury or simply wants to know more about preventative measures, our expert staff can help.
ACL Treatment
Treatment of a torn anterior cruciate ligament is dependent on the severity and type of injury sustained.
At our Beverly Hills facility, our ACL treatment options include the following:
- Rehabilitation/Bracing
- ACL Reconstruction
- Post-operative rehabilitation
Though the recovery timeline can vary from patient to patient, Dr. Millstein and his staff are dedicated to helping patients every step of their way. Whether during an initial consultation or a few months into ACL rehabilitation, successful treatment is Dr. Millstein’s number one goal.
Graft Choices
Prior to a patient undergoing ACL reconstruction surgery, Dr. Millstein will carefully evaluate which graft choice is ideal for each patient’s ACL surgery. Every patient is unique, which means that there’s no catch-all treatment for knee tear surgery.
At our center, we offer the following graft types to our patients:
- Allograft
- Autograft
- Synthetic/Prosthetic
ACL Revision/Reconstruction
In some cases, patients may need a secondary surgery in order to fully regain the strength and mobility of the knee. If a previous knee surgery has failed, or if patients are unhappy with a previous procedure, Dr. Millstein can perform ACL revision surgery. Using different techniques than a standard ACL surgery, ACL revision surgery is more complex, which means it’s ideal to choose an expert surgeon when considering this procedure.
